Cooking co-op

Now, I realize I'm quite far from any of this, but I couldn't help but feel like I should blog about the concept of the dinner co-op when I read about it in the New York Times. Imagine, a group of like-minded (and hopefully similarly skilled) cooks/families getting together to share the burden of making tasty meals every night. Interesting no? You can read more about it here:

Of course, there are obviously potential pitfalls. Like..... the slacker cook, or dishes that just don't suit your taste, or diet restrictions. However, these all seem to be things that can be overcome with proper planning and communication. For me, I would be more concerned with being able to hold up my end of the bargain and make sure that I cook when I am supposed to! I can barely make sure I eat two meals a day (and eating out too) as is, how would I be able to cook for others? :)
