The Laramie Project
That's the show that we're doing for the drama production this year at school. It's also the show that I HAVE A PART IN! Minton stopped me after class yesterday and asked me how I felt about playing the mother. How do you say know to something like that? It's a big role, a character role, a real role...and I'm a freshman. I was expecting one of the people who comes on once and never do you see them again. But this is a real part. A real live part. This seems like it's almost too good to be true...this is so perfect!

You'll have to fill me in. I don't know what the Laramie Project is... you know, what kind of story etc. But shouldn't you expect getting a big role after coming off of Cal Shakes?
Congratulations on getting the part.
It's the story of Matt Shepard's murder in 1998...the gay college student who was beaten and then strung on a fencepost and left to die. The play consists of interviews with the townspeople of Laramie, Wyoming. The funny thing is, the part I have is pretty big, which wasn't what I was expecting at all. Thanks a bunch!
There is a preformance of this play going on at SFSU state pretty soon. Is this going to be your theatre team, or another?
