As our parents retire, we'll have to pay the debts that they leave for us, including the national debt. It's looking to be quite a debt (without costs of war being factored in). I think taxes in the 50%+ range is in our future. If you like that, you've gotta love Bush Jr.
Hmm, this graph kind of resembles his good friend Ken Lay's work at Enron, doesn't it? But Bush Jr. thinks big and promises to deliver us a bankrupt country - take that Ken Lay! I guess tax cuts now for the wealthy and war in Iraq should make me feel better or at least forget about having to pay this bill in my future. Thanks Dubya.

let's take the pessimistic view: if, or actually when, we go to war because of mr. bush, a bunch of us probably won't get to see this huge debt that mr. bush has left behind as his legacy. a lot of innocent people will die in this country and in others because our president has bullied congress into letting him invade iraq. and why? because he wants the oil and he's tired of going through opec. What we need to do is re-haul the entire U.S. government, elect a new president and a new congress that isn't in the president's pocket. let's just hope that we won't have to go to war, it will just add to the debt that bush wants to put us in.
